BBQ Adventures!

Yesturday we had a BBQ for Memorial Day and for My birthday...more for Memorial day though.... We invited a bunch of friends and family and although the weather wasn't quite up to par we had a great time. Uncle Slayer (Teron) and Aunt Rebecca came, they are good friends with Luke and I. We haven't hung out with them in a while so it was good to see them! Also Uncle Yogie (Logan) and Aunt Holly and Lance came! Logan was Luke's bestman in our wedding and Logan's son Lance is only 6 months younger than Remington, although he is almost comparable in size! He is a chunky monkey but totally cute. Lance was totally smitten with Remington but Remington was more concerned with the reason why mommy kept giving Lance all his toys to play with... We'll have to work on our sharing skills a little more. But they both had a good time staring at each other and making funny faces. I know they are going to grow to be quite good friends! Just like Daddy and Logan. We also had some other friends over and of course Gee Gee, Paw and Unk were there. Grandma Patty and Great Grandma Fisher stopped by earlier in the morning on their way to Luke's cousin Andy's graduation and we played with them for a bit and tried to show off our new walking skills, which aren't on demand yet only when Remington feels like he wants to show off :) Today we all are a little tired from the festivities. Daddy even overslept a little for work. Ooops. But we had tons of fun hanging out with our buddies and a having the first BBQ of the summer!

Adventures In Flower Planting!

Today Remington helped me plant some flowers. But he did more dirt eating than anything. My mom and I decided to plant some flowers in a wheelborrow and Remington would stand next to the wheelborrow and eat handfuls of the soil. He had a nice dirt gotee by the time we were done. Well you know what they say, God made dirt and dirt don't hurt. He loves being out doors though. I think if Baker ever gets some extended good weather he would be one of the happiest kids ever. Remington even got some kodak time with Paw. What a cute pair they make :)
He is our little Farm boy! I am talking about Remington not Paw of course, haha. I can't wait till he gets into riding the tractors and playing with the animals and stuff like that.

A little update on Remington's walking....he took his first few steps all by himself the other night. It won't be long before he running wild like a crazy man! He is getting so big. (sniffle sniffle) just kidding I am so excited to watch me little boy grow and learn. More adventures to come! We are having a BBQ and Remington's buddy Lance is coming and so is Uncle Slayer (Teron) and Aunt Rebecca! Can't wait to see them...

John Deere Green!

Remington's birthday theme is John Deere, if you haven't already figured it out. So I bought some decorations online and also found Remington a John Deere Hat. I thought that I would get him used to wearing it so that he would wear it for his party, which wasn't too hard since we have been putting him in winter hats since he was like 3 months old anyway. He wore it all day and into the night and fell asleep. He was just to picture perfect in his car seat I had to take advantage of the Kodak moment. What a cutie!

Simple Days In The Sunshine

The Last few days have been quite sunny/hot and bright....Which is completely awesome since Baker has had the longest winter its had since I have moved here. I was beginning to think it was going to snow for a year straight! I have been taking the chance to get out and about since its been so nice and Remington loves to be outdoors. So I went to the local drugstore to buy Remington some sunscreen so he wouldn't get sun burned...Do You Know How Much That Stuff Costs? Holy Cow, I was expecting like 8 bucks or something...no it was more like 15! WOW, I guess that just shows I haven't had a kid for a long time lol. Last Friday we went and hung out with a friend, we decided since it was so nice to walk from her house to the local coffee shops ( well one of the local coffee shops since there is like 6 of them ) It was so nice to get out in the sun and take Remington for a stroll. There were a couple of ladies at the coffee shop that Remington thought would be fun to flirt with, and he did it quite effectively since they just swooned over him when they left. What A Ladies Man. Saturday we went over to Uncle Will, Aunt Steph, Lauren, and Abbey's house for a BBQ. It was fun, the kiddos even put on a Hannah Montana rock show for us...Remington was right in the middle shaking his groove thing! hahaha. Sunday, Daddy had the day off so we went driving up in the mountains with Sug and Piston. Remington of course fell asleep for most of the drive. It was a nice relaxing day. Mommy learned alot about water for the farmers, since daddy had to see how full the reservoir was getting, Last year wasn't such a good water year and this year I am pretty sure should be a great one. Any hoosit, We then came home and played in the grass and with the doggies. Not a whole lot going on but I am sure this week will be an exciting one, or at least this weekend, besides being memorial day it is also mommy's birthday! And there will be some out of town friends coming to visit...Jesse and Jaime! We can't wait to have some adventures with them!

Remington Haircuts and Trucks!

So last Thursday Remington had his first haircut! Awwww! Remington and I hitched a ride with Gee Gee and Paw Paw to Boise. Paw had a doctors appointment there for his back. After lunch we headed to Monkey Dooz! It's this cute little childrens haircut joint. They have the cutest little seats for kiddos to sit in while they have their haircut. Remington sat in a cool convertable. On one side of the place they have an area for little girls to get makeovers for like a birthday party. It is soo cool I wanted my haircut there. Remington did really well, until she started cutting around his ears, as you can see he is little like, Whoa what are you doing lady! I think that she did a really great job. Especially for what she had to work with. Remington was pretty squirmy. I didn't realize how much it would change his looks. He looks so much more like a little boy now, not a baby. Don't worry boys and girls I didn't cry! Luke thought it was so cute on him when we got home and he got to see it. He kept saying how adorable he looked. And to think he wanted to get it cut into a mullet. NO!

Well, What do you think~ I know he is adorable! I even had a lady tell me he looked like a baby that could be in movies at toys-r-us haha.

Remington also got to see the Remington truck that stopped in town this weekend. They brought a bunch of guns and scopes and binoculars and atv's and such. So my mom and I took him down there to get his picture with the truck since it has his name on it and all. So here it is! Pretty cool huh? Yeah I think he would have been more impressed if he wasn't feeling kinda crummy. He is getting in some more teeth. Who knows what kinda crazy adventures we'll have next?

The Peacock @ The Nursery!

Today Remington went on an adventure to Gee Gee's work! Mom works at Eagle Cap Nursery as their book keeper. It is about 40 mins from where I live and I actually worked there when we first moved up here planting flowers. Anyway, Michael and Cathy, the owners, have a lot of birds and other animals so Remington really liked going out there and seeing all the cool new animals. First we saw the coy fish in their pond in front of their house, and if Remington didn't think that was cool enough, they had 10 Airedale puppies that we went and played with. I tried to talk daddy into getting one but since we already have two dogs and one still only being 6 months old that was a HUGE NO! lol. I know he wasn't going to go for that idea but thought I'd try any how. Then we ventured up to the green houses and met Rex and Ellen, this cute older couple that work there and I just love them, Rex is kinda the quintessential grumpy old man but with the softest heart, and Ellen is just as tough to crack as Rex but you know me, I made them fall head over heels for me and Remington did the same! :) Then Remington took a little snoozer but not for long since out of no where came the weirdest sound he has ever heard I am sure, a PEACOCK! Remington was wide eyed and ready to explore that sound as soon as he heard it. So Gee Gee took him out to see it and it was all feathered out and Remington was way impressed. We hung out most of the day, and now we are home and Remington is tuckered out and dirty. If tomorrow is anything as nice as today was then we will be spending some time outside getting the yard ready for planting flowers! With the help of Gee Gee of course. Oh some insider information about whats to come next week, Remington is getting his first hair cut!!! Should be fun and I am definitely bringing my camera. Well goodnight and pleasant adventuring.

Bubble Baths & Waiting Up For Daddy!

Luke has started working longer hours since this is the time of year that they get very busy, so it has been hard on both Remington and Daddy not getting to see as much of each other as they would like. This last September Luke, Remington and I moved out into a house that is right on the farm that Luke works for. It has been lots nicer since his work shop is right behind our house and all the land that he farms is fairly close as well, where as before he had a twenty minute drive to the farm. So Luke takes his lunches most days at home and most of the time Remington has already had his morning nap or wakes up for daddy to see him too. But since Luke has just began planting potatoes he has been taking his lunch with him and eating in the tractor, which means no lunchtime visit for Remington to see him. Also Luke has been getting off later than he was in the winter, which is normal for this time of year, but that means that Remington is sometimes already down for the night by the time Luke gets off work. Okay so now that the prelude is finished I can get on to telling you what I came here to say! Last night I really wanted Luke and Remington to spend some time together so I did all of our usual night time stuff a little later. I don't usually give Remington baths because when I am by myself I usually give him a shower along with me. I don't know saves water for one and two it seems to save time too and also our water is either hot or cold and so by the time I take my shower the water has cooled down to Remington temperature. Anyways I don't have very many pictures of Remington in the tub so I got out my camera and started taking pictures and of course Remington hammed it up for the camera. He is such a show off. I loved the picture from above the all time classic shampoo in hair picture and his little gapped tooth smile just makes it that much more adorable! After Bath time we went into his room to dress him, I rubbed on some lotion ( or what I like to call smell goodies! ) before I put on his pjs and I kept telling him that he smelt soo goody that I wanted to eat him! Then I would kiss his belly and act like I was eating him and he would giggle so loud it was halarious! About the time we got done with all that DADDY came home!! He was soo excited to see his dad and put on quite the show for him. We then all sat down to watch the elimination show of American Idol, Which daddy says is a sucky show because his person didn't get voted off, but as soon as the music came on Remington was dancing and raising his hand like Hallalujah. Its was a crack up. I need to get a video camera terribly. Well only three more days and Remington will be 11 months old and only one month away from his first birthday. I will definitely be keeping you updated in the coming month, I know he is just inches from taking his first steps on his own. See You SOON!
