Playdate!

Last week I got to watch Remington's friend Lance! Lance will be 1 year old on the 19th of December. His daddy was Luke's Best man in our wedding, Logan. Anyway, it was alot of fun to watch the boys play. Lance was a little intimidated by Remington I think, especially since the first thing Remington does when him and Lance start playing is Body Slam him! Remington was just playing with him but didn't realize that Lance is just a wee bit smaller than him and wasn't expecting to be flattened on the rug. Lance just looked up at him like "Dude what the heck!" They had lots of fun playing trucks and stuff, and I was really impressed with Remington's sharing skills. Of course he would just wait till the moment Lance got bored with the toy and as soon as it would hit the ground Remington was snagging it, then he would look at me like " He put it down mom, its fair game!" haha. But all in all he didn't just snatch the toy out of Lance's hands like I was kinda expecting him to do. We'll have to have Lance over to play again soon.

MICKEY!

If any of you have spent anytime with Remington you probably know that he is just minutely obsessed with Mickey Mouse. In Remington's words its "Key" . Of course knowing this, when we were in New York we went to the disney store, we found Rem a pair of Mickey ears. We couldn't pass them up! As soon as I spotted them, Luke and I were like we have got to get these for Rem. I wish Remington could have seen the store too, its amazing! Its like 3 stories. I could've spent most of the day in there, being the disney fan that I am, but I knew Luke and Denny wouldn't have had as much fun as I would've. Toys R Us was pretty cool too. It would be soo much fun christmas shopping in the city. But back to Remington, The first night we got home we gave Rem his official Mickey ears and he was officially STOKED! It was soo cute to see him get so excited. I had to get some pictures of course! When do I not sieze the opportunity for a Kodak moment?

Halloween and NYC

So here are some actual pictures from halloween. Remington's uncle Will took them and along with Remington are his cousins Lauren and Abbey. I heard that the best part of Remington's costume was that when he walked his tail wagged behind him. He only made it down one side of main street before he was a little overwhelmed by all the other people out.

Here are some pictures of mom and dad in NYC too. It was alot of fun and we are so glad we made the trip out for Kevin and Adrian, Thanks for getting married in such a cool spot :)

Well, thanksgiving is just around the corner and so is christmas, I am sure we will have some awesome Holiday adventures!

Here is a short video Uncle Will took of Remington Wagging His Tail!

Triceratops...Too Cute 2

Well, Luke and I survived our trip to the urban jungles of New York City, and Remington survived with the help with Gee Gee and Gramma Patty! I took some picture before we left of Remington in his Halloween costume and just goofing around so that I could print them and bring them along with us to show off and of course to suffice in a pinch when we had withdrawls. Of course all the people we should the pictures to thought he was just the cutest thing they'd seen! DUH! But if you think he's gotten big when you see these pictures, oh man! I felt like I had been gone for a month when we went to pick him up from Gee Gee's! He was HUGE! I will definitely get some more picture of him soon, but for now here are the ones I took about a week or so ago.

Bye Bye Great Grandma

This Last week Remington's Great Grandma Bernice, Mommy's Grandma, passed away. We were all a bit sad to say goodbye to Grandma Virtue. Daddy, Mommy and Remington drove down to California Saturday evening, Remington's first rode trip. He did soo well. I was so proud of him. We stayed with Mommy's cousin Tyler, and her 3 girls, Haley, Taylor, and Payton who is only 5 months younger than Rem. He had a great time with his cousins. The funeral was monday and the burial was tuesday. Rem was perfect for both. We also got to see lots of mommy's relatives that we don't get to see very often, but we need to get together for more happier occasions. We are going to miss Grandma Virtue but we know she is up in heaven dancing with Grandma Virtue!

Vocab and Roar!

Remington's vocabulary is really starting to develope. Its crazy to hear him say words that you aren't really expecting him to say. The other night we were playing "where's mommy's nose, where's remington's hair" and so on, and I asked Remington where his eyes were and he says " Eyes" and points to his eyes, as plain as day! I was like GOOD JOB BUD! I was so taken away by it. Last night I was making chicken strips for Remington and I and when Rem walked by the oven while I had it open he put up his hand and said "Hot" I was like "Yes! Hot" Its so cool to see and watch them learn even when you think the stuff your trying to teach them is just going in one in ear and out and then they just pull it out at the right time when you are least expecting it.

I know I know I have to get some new pictures up here, I promise within the next week or two I will put up some of him in his Halloween costume, Remington is going to be a Triceratops Dinosaur. I am trying to teach him to say ROAR! He does it but in a whisper instead of a shout. I guess he's just a sneaky dinosaur. Luke and I are going to be in New York for Halloween so my mom is going to meet Luke's mom downtown on main street and take him trick or treating. I am bummed we aren't going to be able to do it with him but I know he is going to have a GREAT time with Gee Gee and Gramma.

Luke and I are excited for our trip and for our friends Kevin and Adrian's wedding! I know its going to be a beautiful wedding. I will definitely post some pictures of our trip. And then at the end of December we are all going to California for another wedding of some friends! Luke, Remington and I are going to try to visit as many friends and family as possible while we are there, it will be our first family vacation. Well, I will post a new adventure soon!

Country Boy, Daddy's Boy

The other night Remington and I went out to the wheat field to get some pictures of the combines in action. While we were out there Daddy's combine broke down, Remington really wanted to help dad fix his combine. Its amazing to me how little boys see tools and know that they are for fixing things. I don't have a little girl but I am sure its just like how little girls see make up and just know that its for making yourself prettier.Anyway, while we were out there I got some artistic shots of the combine as well as a way too cute pic of Remington, I think that it looks like a baby gap ad or something. You tell me what you think.

I know that I am just a doting mommy but I know that I have a beautiful child! The other night we went to uncle Bubba's football game and afterward we went out to dinner and I do believe that had I left Remington alone the waitress would have stolen him. she kept say that if we didn't want to pay for our meal that she would take Remington instead for payment. She also told my mom that she would also taking any future children. hahaha. I guess that makes you feel good. I know this is horrible but I almost feel like there is something wrong when someone doesn't make a fuss over Remington. I just think everyone should adore my little Kiddo! Doesn't every mom feel that way about their kids?

How Does Time Fly!

My little boy is getting soo big! He is such a tyke, no longer a babe! I am enjoying this time alot... watching him get excited to explore new things, and see his face light up when I applaud him for throwing his baseball. I do miss him sleeping on my chest, bouncing in his bouncer till it practically jumps off the floor, having the tiniest little socks to put on. I don't think there is any genius out there, Albert Einstein, or anyone else in fact, that can begin to make a thesis on how the time flies once you become a parent. How do they grow from babies to infants to toddlers right before your eyes but the true miracle or mind blowing part is that they do it in the right timing too. I guess its just a phenomenon that is absolutely that, hard to explain and a complete and absolute mystery. If you have any ideas on How The Time Flies, please enlighten me. :)

Day at the Lake!

A Couple of Fridays ago we went to the lake with Lula and Cody. It was pretty hot so it was the perfect day to spend in the water. We packed up and headed out. Remington was pretty impressed with the Jet Skis that Lula and Code were riding. When the Skis were parked Remington would stand on the base and pretend that he was driving out on the lake. We had a pretty darn good day of it. He wasn't scared of the water at all, which kinda scared me. I think had Remington not gotten tired and had it not been soo hot out Remington would have stayed out there until it got too dark.
It was good break from being indoors and cooped up in the house. My boy loves the outdoors, once again, Just Like His Daddy. I love my two boys!

Mud Puddles and Drinking out of the Hose!

Remington loves the outdoors! I am beginning to think that he would live outdoors if we let him. Which this is not much of a surprise since Luke likes to be outdoors as well. Like father, like son! The other day Remington went to Gee Gee's house so that I could go to town. When I got done in town I went to pick him up, and we decided to stay for a little while and hang out since dad wasn't home yet. Well, being the outdoor lover Remington is he went with Gee to water her garden and found a quite lovely mud puddle and decided that it would be the best place to plop down and take a rest. Well boys will be boys so what harm would it have been to let him play in the mud hole? So Remington played in the puddle for quite some time and splashed himself as dirty as a little piggy! He might have even made himself a mud pie if his cousin Abbey would have been there to teach him how. :P

Well, after he got tired of playing in the mud we stripped him down. He was thirsty so Gee taught him how to drink from the hose. MMMMM. Who says drinking out of a hose is unhealthy? I did it and so did my parents and were all just fine! I know he is going to have plenty of memories from playing outside at Grandma's and Grandpa's ( on both sides ) house!

Tomorrow we are going for our second haircut! And later this week, mommy starts her job at "The Lil Pig"! And then on Saturday Remington and Grandma Patty are going to go to Uncle Clint and Aunt Rachel's house for Arissa's first birthday party! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARISSA!

Popsicles, Parades, Sumpter and Remizilla!

Well, After quite a long break we are back. So here's a little summary of July so you get all caught up on our adventures.

Remington had his first popsicle all by himself in July. Talk about one sticky boy. He was covered. Red popsicle all down his belly and boy was it cold. He did a good job though, none of it hit the ground. But as you can see there not much food that hits the ground with this big kid! Hahaha..

Of course there was the excitement of the 4th of July and since last year Remington had NO idea what was going on I thought that this year would be more fun for him. We took him to the ever exciting Haines Parade, and met up with his other four cousins there. Lauren, Caiden, and Abbey had a good time trying to get the candy that they parade participants throw out to the kids, and Remington and Arissa had a good time watching them from the wagon. Uncle Will was nice enough to give them some smarties so that they could feel apart of the candy excitement. All in all I think Remington and Arissa had more fun just riding in the wagon than watching the parade. We also took Remington to the Rodeo. He liked watching the Horses run around the arena and the calfs run from the ropers but even that got a little boring so we took him to Gee Gee and Paw's house. Then we went to a BBQ and then we went with Uncle Natie and Aunt Steph to watch the big fireworks at the Haines Stampede Grounds. Remington didn't really like how loud they were but once we sat in the pickup and watch them then he really liked them. I got him to say BOOM every time they went up in the sky. It was a good 4th. I know they are only going to get better as the years go by.

We also took a trip to the Sumpter Flea Market over the 4th Of July weekend. The Market was less than awe inspiring. It keeps getting smaller and smaller. But we saw the train, and did some walking around. We saw this little shop on our way into Sumpter that caught our eye so as we left we decided to go and check it out. They had some really cute things. But the best part was the little photo guys out in front. We couldn't resist the Kodak moment.

Lastly I built Remington a sandcastle in his new sandcastle that Paw built for him for his birthday. He was hanging out in Gee's garden and so I got plenty of time to make a big castle and fence for him to crash when he came back. Boy was he excited when he saw all those things he could knock over... It didn't take long for Remington Benson to turn in to....REMIZILLA! He knocked that castle down to smithereens! Took me about 30 mins to build the thing and Remizilla all of about 3 mins to destroy it, We will try it again soon to see if we can break that record.

Sorry...

Quick little blurb to say sorry I haven't posted in a while... been busy but will back log once I get more extra time. I have pictures from the 4th of July and some great ones of Remington playing in his sandbox. So I will get those up soon. Keep checking in!

Perfect, Yes I Said PERFECT

So I know every mom gushes about her kids, they should they're your pride and joy, but I am about to take gushing to a whole new level! Call me vain or say that I am embellishing whatever... Let me just point out right now that what I am about to say I believe whole heartily and I am not exaggerating one bit.

Today Remington and I spent all day at home... Which doesn't seem like anything exciting, and it wasn't, but lately we have been spending alot of time going to town every day. It gets a little tiring driving into town every day to say the least. Anyways, I did laundry all day and pretty much did not come out of our bedroom all day. And Remington just kicked it with me... We watched movies in mommy's bed, read books in mommy's bed, and then he would take a nap and then get up and do it all over again. It was like the easiest day ever. Totally rejuvenated me. Now I am telling you all this to say that, my son is completely perfect! That's right I said perfect! What other newly walking, newly one year old would just totally oblige to letting mommy have a kicked back day and he himself enjoy it too. I mean we had a really awesome day together. We had some really good one on one time and snuggle time too. And as I still lay in bed like I have done for all day, I just can't help to be amazed at my totally wonderful, awesome, PERFECT son that I have been blessed with. So, this is my brag session.

A little tid bit of information, The Benson family has added a new member.... her name is Gertie and she is our new kitten! Remington already likes her and tries to pull her tail, and Gertie is still learning as to whether or not she likes him too... sometimes she does and sometimes, well, she hides. haha. Smart cat. We are happy that Gertie has come to live with us and will keep you posted on her too.

Well, goodnight and I promise tomorrow I am not going to lay in bed all day, its back to Adventuring for this toddler!

Na na Na na Na na Na na Na na BatMAN!

What is cuter than a little boy in Batman jammies ( and with a cape on the back! ) Well, I might have to argue Nothing. Remington is just the cutest little thing since well, ever in his new summer jammies. He's got two pair of batman jammers, one pair from Great Grand Dora, and another from Gee Gee. He looks adorable in both but I couldn't resist a picture of him with the cape! So here he his BAM, SMACK, POW, WHAM, and holy flying fishsticks BATMAN!

Remington is really getting the hang of walking now... He has started getting up from the floor instead of crawling to something to help him stand up. Its amazing how quickly they learn and move onto new things.

We haven't been up to a whole lot. Last weekend, however, the Hells Canyon Motorcycle Rally was in town which meant about 6000 bikers invade Baker City for three days. Luke and I went downtown Friday night with Remington to walk around and look at all the bikes lined on the streets, We decided to go to Mad Matilda's Coffee Shop to listen to a live band in which we knew two of the members.... In case you ever see posters of them up around the city they are called the Larry Robb band or the Ecolines I think and they do alot of rockabilly. They pretty good. Anyway, Remington got right down in front of them and ROCKED out! he loves music and he was groovin and even when he would fall he would continue his dancing on his butt. It was awesome and all the patrons thought he was soo cute. Luke and I are soo proud of our little man. I know all moms say this but he definitely is the cutest little boy ( but there are some close seconds.... ) Well I am sure there will be another Kodak moment to capture soon, so tune in next time same Bat time same Bat place!

Happy Birthday Deere Remington

Remington's first birthday party was a BLAST! He was a total ham for everyone...He definitely knew it was all about him that day. We had quite a few party attenders. The weather didn't quite cooperate, but it did warm up toward the end of the party so we did get a little good weather for the kiddos to play in the park. I don't think that it would be disputed that the best part of the whole day was singing to Remington happy birthday and watching him eat his cake. We had cupcakes and Remington got his very own large muffin sized cupcake... We sang to him the traditional birthday song and right on time Remington started clapping and praising all his serenader's. Then he just dove right into his cupcake like it wasn't his first rodeo....He had it all over his face. He put a whole new spin on cute enough to eat! WE had a wonderful wonderful wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Dear Remington!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Remington!

My little boy is officially 1 yr old! Where in the world did this last year go! It doesn't seem like Remington should be this old already. He has had an exciting first year of life that is for sure. He is such a tough, strong, happy, wonderful boy, especially for all the health problems he's had to endure.

We didn't do anything too exciting for the actually day of his birthday, considering it was on a wednesday its kinda hard to plan a big 1st birthday on a weekday. I did however let him go at his breakfast all by himself. I think he wore more than he ate. It was pretty humorous to watch him shovel gobs of oatmeal into his mouth using his hands. I figured it was a prelude into what his cake eating would be like at his actual party. I did take him over to Gee Gee's so that I could go to the gym and he got to eat a cupcake there, he also got some helium balloons from Gee Gee, which he LOVES balloons or Bwooms as he calls them. Daddy and I BBQ'd some steaks in honor of Remington's b-day and Remington had a pretty good birthday feast. He started off with some bananas, then he wanted to try some sauteed mushrooms, then he had some leftover spaghetti, a bite of daddy's steak, had some cupcake frosting and finished it all off with some icecream! I said he could have whatever he wanted for his b-day dinner and he definitely had whatever he wanted. I think all in all it was a good birthday. Saturday is the party soo stay tuned!

Turtle Turtle

Last weekend we went to a barbecue at the Mawhinney's house, Robin made the best baby back ribs ever. Anyway they have a 40 year old turtle named Stanley and Remington got to meet him. I thought that maybe Remington would be scared of him but he absolutely adored Stanley. He was wacking his shell with his hand and at one point he tried to take a little nibble out of Stanley's foot. Which Robin thought was halarious. LOL. That boy just amazes me sometimes, Looks like we might have to go and find us a turtle. haha. We had a good weekend, lots of parties due to Graduation and a birthday of a good friend of ours. We had a good time at the barbecue, I am telling you I have never had a rib that good before. Remington even got to have a rib, and I think he agrees with mom on this. MMM MMM MMM! Uncle Denny, Aunt Steph, Uncle Code and Aunt Chelsea were all at the barbecue, which is mostly the Mawhinney crew. They are a wild and crazy bunch as you can tell from the picture of Uncle Denny and Aunt Steph. What a Goof Ball! Well, Stay Close to your computers kids, we got a first birthday tomorrow and friends from California coming in on Friday and a First birthday Party in Saturday and possibly a Rodeo on Sunday this is going to be one week chalked full of Adventures and you'd be crazy to miss it!

BBQ Adventures!

Yesturday we had a BBQ for Memorial Day and for My birthday...more for Memorial day though.... We invited a bunch of friends and family and although the weather wasn't quite up to par we had a great time. Uncle Slayer (Teron) and Aunt Rebecca came, they are good friends with Luke and I. We haven't hung out with them in a while so it was good to see them! Also Uncle Yogie (Logan) and Aunt Holly and Lance came! Logan was Luke's bestman in our wedding and Logan's son Lance is only 6 months younger than Remington, although he is almost comparable in size! He is a chunky monkey but totally cute. Lance was totally smitten with Remington but Remington was more concerned with the reason why mommy kept giving Lance all his toys to play with... We'll have to work on our sharing skills a little more. But they both had a good time staring at each other and making funny faces. I know they are going to grow to be quite good friends! Just like Daddy and Logan. We also had some other friends over and of course Gee Gee, Paw and Unk were there. Grandma Patty and Great Grandma Fisher stopped by earlier in the morning on their way to Luke's cousin Andy's graduation and we played with them for a bit and tried to show off our new walking skills, which aren't on demand yet only when Remington feels like he wants to show off :) Today we all are a little tired from the festivities. Daddy even overslept a little for work. Ooops. But we had tons of fun hanging out with our buddies and a having the first BBQ of the summer!

Adventures In Flower Planting!

Today Remington helped me plant some flowers. But he did more dirt eating than anything. My mom and I decided to plant some flowers in a wheelborrow and Remington would stand next to the wheelborrow and eat handfuls of the soil. He had a nice dirt gotee by the time we were done. Well you know what they say, God made dirt and dirt don't hurt. He loves being out doors though. I think if Baker ever gets some extended good weather he would be one of the happiest kids ever. Remington even got some kodak time with Paw. What a cute pair they make :)
He is our little Farm boy! I am talking about Remington not Paw of course, haha. I can't wait till he gets into riding the tractors and playing with the animals and stuff like that.

A little update on Remington's walking....he took his first few steps all by himself the other night. It won't be long before he running wild like a crazy man! He is getting so big. (sniffle sniffle) just kidding I am so excited to watch me little boy grow and learn. More adventures to come! We are having a BBQ and Remington's buddy Lance is coming and so is Uncle Slayer (Teron) and Aunt Rebecca! Can't wait to see them...

John Deere Green!

Remington's birthday theme is John Deere, if you haven't already figured it out. So I bought some decorations online and also found Remington a John Deere Hat. I thought that I would get him used to wearing it so that he would wear it for his party, which wasn't too hard since we have been putting him in winter hats since he was like 3 months old anyway. He wore it all day and into the night and fell asleep. He was just to picture perfect in his car seat I had to take advantage of the Kodak moment. What a cutie!

Simple Days In The Sunshine

The Last few days have been quite sunny/hot and bright....Which is completely awesome since Baker has had the longest winter its had since I have moved here. I was beginning to think it was going to snow for a year straight! I have been taking the chance to get out and about since its been so nice and Remington loves to be outdoors. So I went to the local drugstore to buy Remington some sunscreen so he wouldn't get sun burned...Do You Know How Much That Stuff Costs? Holy Cow, I was expecting like 8 bucks or something...no it was more like 15! WOW, I guess that just shows I haven't had a kid for a long time lol. Last Friday we went and hung out with a friend, we decided since it was so nice to walk from her house to the local coffee shops ( well one of the local coffee shops since there is like 6 of them ) It was so nice to get out in the sun and take Remington for a stroll. There were a couple of ladies at the coffee shop that Remington thought would be fun to flirt with, and he did it quite effectively since they just swooned over him when they left. What A Ladies Man. Saturday we went over to Uncle Will, Aunt Steph, Lauren, and Abbey's house for a BBQ. It was fun, the kiddos even put on a Hannah Montana rock show for us...Remington was right in the middle shaking his groove thing! hahaha. Sunday, Daddy had the day off so we went driving up in the mountains with Sug and Piston. Remington of course fell asleep for most of the drive. It was a nice relaxing day. Mommy learned alot about water for the farmers, since daddy had to see how full the reservoir was getting, Last year wasn't such a good water year and this year I am pretty sure should be a great one. Any hoosit, We then came home and played in the grass and with the doggies. Not a whole lot going on but I am sure this week will be an exciting one, or at least this weekend, besides being memorial day it is also mommy's birthday! And there will be some out of town friends coming to visit...Jesse and Jaime! We can't wait to have some adventures with them!

Remington Haircuts and Trucks!

So last Thursday Remington had his first haircut! Awwww! Remington and I hitched a ride with Gee Gee and Paw Paw to Boise. Paw had a doctors appointment there for his back. After lunch we headed to Monkey Dooz! It's this cute little childrens haircut joint. They have the cutest little seats for kiddos to sit in while they have their haircut. Remington sat in a cool convertable. On one side of the place they have an area for little girls to get makeovers for like a birthday party. It is soo cool I wanted my haircut there. Remington did really well, until she started cutting around his ears, as you can see he is little like, Whoa what are you doing lady! I think that she did a really great job. Especially for what she had to work with. Remington was pretty squirmy. I didn't realize how much it would change his looks. He looks so much more like a little boy now, not a baby. Don't worry boys and girls I didn't cry! Luke thought it was so cute on him when we got home and he got to see it. He kept saying how adorable he looked. And to think he wanted to get it cut into a mullet. NO!

Well, What do you think~ I know he is adorable! I even had a lady tell me he looked like a baby that could be in movies at toys-r-us haha.

Remington also got to see the Remington truck that stopped in town this weekend. They brought a bunch of guns and scopes and binoculars and atv's and such. So my mom and I took him down there to get his picture with the truck since it has his name on it and all. So here it is! Pretty cool huh? Yeah I think he would have been more impressed if he wasn't feeling kinda crummy. He is getting in some more teeth. Who knows what kinda crazy adventures we'll have next?

The Peacock @ The Nursery!

Today Remington went on an adventure to Gee Gee's work! Mom works at Eagle Cap Nursery as their book keeper. It is about 40 mins from where I live and I actually worked there when we first moved up here planting flowers. Anyway, Michael and Cathy, the owners, have a lot of birds and other animals so Remington really liked going out there and seeing all the cool new animals. First we saw the coy fish in their pond in front of their house, and if Remington didn't think that was cool enough, they had 10 Airedale puppies that we went and played with. I tried to talk daddy into getting one but since we already have two dogs and one still only being 6 months old that was a HUGE NO! lol. I know he wasn't going to go for that idea but thought I'd try any how. Then we ventured up to the green houses and met Rex and Ellen, this cute older couple that work there and I just love them, Rex is kinda the quintessential grumpy old man but with the softest heart, and Ellen is just as tough to crack as Rex but you know me, I made them fall head over heels for me and Remington did the same! :) Then Remington took a little snoozer but not for long since out of no where came the weirdest sound he has ever heard I am sure, a PEACOCK! Remington was wide eyed and ready to explore that sound as soon as he heard it. So Gee Gee took him out to see it and it was all feathered out and Remington was way impressed. We hung out most of the day, and now we are home and Remington is tuckered out and dirty. If tomorrow is anything as nice as today was then we will be spending some time outside getting the yard ready for planting flowers! With the help of Gee Gee of course. Oh some insider information about whats to come next week, Remington is getting his first hair cut!!! Should be fun and I am definitely bringing my camera. Well goodnight and pleasant adventuring.

Bubble Baths & Waiting Up For Daddy!

Luke has started working longer hours since this is the time of year that they get very busy, so it has been hard on both Remington and Daddy not getting to see as much of each other as they would like. This last September Luke, Remington and I moved out into a house that is right on the farm that Luke works for. It has been lots nicer since his work shop is right behind our house and all the land that he farms is fairly close as well, where as before he had a twenty minute drive to the farm. So Luke takes his lunches most days at home and most of the time Remington has already had his morning nap or wakes up for daddy to see him too. But since Luke has just began planting potatoes he has been taking his lunch with him and eating in the tractor, which means no lunchtime visit for Remington to see him. Also Luke has been getting off later than he was in the winter, which is normal for this time of year, but that means that Remington is sometimes already down for the night by the time Luke gets off work. Okay so now that the prelude is finished I can get on to telling you what I came here to say! Last night I really wanted Luke and Remington to spend some time together so I did all of our usual night time stuff a little later. I don't usually give Remington baths because when I am by myself I usually give him a shower along with me. I don't know saves water for one and two it seems to save time too and also our water is either hot or cold and so by the time I take my shower the water has cooled down to Remington temperature. Anyways I don't have very many pictures of Remington in the tub so I got out my camera and started taking pictures and of course Remington hammed it up for the camera. He is such a show off. I loved the picture from above the all time classic shampoo in hair picture and his little gapped tooth smile just makes it that much more adorable! After Bath time we went into his room to dress him, I rubbed on some lotion ( or what I like to call smell goodies! ) before I put on his pjs and I kept telling him that he smelt soo goody that I wanted to eat him! Then I would kiss his belly and act like I was eating him and he would giggle so loud it was halarious! About the time we got done with all that DADDY came home!! He was soo excited to see his dad and put on quite the show for him. We then all sat down to watch the elimination show of American Idol, Which daddy says is a sucky show because his person didn't get voted off, but as soon as the music came on Remington was dancing and raising his hand like Hallalujah. Its was a crack up. I need to get a video camera terribly. Well only three more days and Remington will be 11 months old and only one month away from his first birthday. I will definitely be keeping you updated in the coming month, I know he is just inches from taking his first steps on his own. See You SOON!

Boo Boos and Kisses!

Its been a few days but alot has gone on! Remington had his first boo boo requiring a bandaid! Wednesday night I went to the gym and left Remington at Paw and Gee Gee's house and when I came to pick him up I hung out for a bit afterward since daddy hasn't been getting home till later in the evening. We were all watching tv in the living room, Paw and Gee Gee have their tv set up on this old metal cook stove and they often open the oven door for Remington to pull himself up on and watch tv...Well none of us noticed there was a small square cut out for a latch or something, of course Remington fell down and got his little thumb stuck in the hole and ripped some of the skin off of his thumb! He was bleeding and crying pretty loudly so I scooped him up and my mom went and grabbed some peroxide and a bandaid...Once we started doctoring Remington up he was much more interested in what we were doing and what the heck that thing on his finger was. He kept putting his thumb in his mouth like how do I get this thing off. He did pretty good at not pulling it off and now his boo boo is healing well. Yesturday we (by we I mean Remington and I, daddy was working) went to visit some friends of Luke's and mine, Troy and Julianne, they have three children, Olivia, Haiden and Sophia....Sophia is two weeks older than Remington. Well, Sophia and Remington are both learning to give kisses, and we got the sweetest picture of the two of them smooching on the couch. Maybe Julie will e-mail the picture so I can post it! It was sooo cute! So Remington already has his first kiss under his belt :P and with an older woman too lol. I can't wait to see what friends they become when they are older since they are so close in age. Well all you thrill seeking adventure fans there is more to come next week so until then!

Eating Is A Mighty Tiring Adventure.

Lastnight Remington and I were in the kitchen while I cooked dinner for daddy. It was about 7:45pm and I was talking to Gee Gee on the phone and seasoning the porkchops. I turned around to check on Remington since he was being so quiet to find him asleep in his highchair. Poor guy had a long day and only one nap. I thought for sure though he would wake up when I got him out and changed him for bed but he stayed asleep through almost the entire process....I layed him in on the floor, took his pants off, changed his diaper, took his shirt off, put his feet into his pj's, and only when I went to put his arms into his sleeper he started to fuss and cry...I picked him up and layed him in his crib and he fell right back to sleep. He slept all night till about 7:30am! We had a full day yesturday...Sug ( our dog ) was getting spayed and so we had to bring her into the vets between 8-9am which meant getting up about 7:00am to get ready and drive in town. Then after that we went to the gym, Remington goes to the daycare downstairs while mommy kicks her own butt on the stairclimber and arc trainer! After that we just happened to run into Paw Paw and Gee Gee headed to Janet's Cookshack for breakfast and of course we had to join them. Well Remington fell asleep on the way home and took about a 3 hour nap. He played in his bedroom while mommy proceeded to kick her own but with a circuit program with her weights and excercise ball ( which Remington thought was funny when she did her lunges! ) We played in the living room, and saw daddy drive into the drive way but he must have just wore his little self out cause he barely finished his dinner and his head was bobbing in his highchair. This eating stuff is a mighty tiring adventure. :) See You Soon!
